Caustic Soda Sodium Hydroxide (NaOH)
Widely called sodium hydroxide (NaOH), caustic soda appears in three major forms namely as Pearls, Flakes and Liquid. Most popular is the Caustic Soda Pearl or bead. It has the appearance that looks like that of white bead. It is also called caustic soda prills or caustic soda pellets. Caustic soda beads usually dissolve twice or three times as fast as flakes.
The Caustic soda liquid is a liquid form of the pearls available in different concentration, mostly 48-50%. In most industrial applications, caustic soda pearl are mostly preferable to liquid, however, liquid are easily mixable with other chemicals without the need for mixer.
Caustic Soda is use as a raw material in the manufacture of soap, detergent, textiles and paper. It is also use in water softening and treatment, refining petroleum products, in sanitation and hygiene products. The food and drug industry apply it in production.
