RO Antiscalant

In Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane System, scaling could cause a system breakdown. Scaling means the deposition of particles on a membrane, causing it to plug. Without some means of scale inhibition, such as antiscalant application, flow passages within membrane elements will scale due to precipitation of sparingly soluble gas, such as calcium carbonate, calcium sulfate, barium sulfate and strontium sulfate. Most natural waters contain relatively high concentrations of calcium, sulfate and bicarbonate ions.

RO membrane systems that use antiscalant avoid mineral scaling and thus can operate for extended periods of time between membrane cleanings. Also, antiscalants allow RO membrane systems to remove far more pure water from each gallon of feed water than would otherwise be possible.

1. FR-4100 - RO Antiscalant - Dose ppm: 5-10

2. FR-4101A - RO Antiscalant - Dose ppm: 2-10

3. FR-4101SI - RO Antiscalant for high silica/Iron - Dose ppm: 2-10
